PrivateQuick answer
What range format does the tool accept?
Use commas and dashes. For example, 1-3, 5, 8-10 keeps pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, and 10 in that order. Whitespace is ignored, and you can list pages in any order you want them to appear.
About this tool
Split PDF Online
For when you only need pages 4–7 of a 60-page document and don't want to send the whole thing.
Split PDF lets you pick exact pages or ranges from a PDF and save them as a new file. The pages you keep look identical to the original — same fonts, images, and dimensions.
When you'd reach for this
- You only need the signed page of a long contract, not all 40.
- A reviewer asked for chapter 3 of your thesis as a separate PDF.
- You want to share one invoice from a monthly statement bundle.
- An ATS upload requires only the resume page, not the cover letter.
How it works
- 1
Upload your PDF
Drop the PDF you want to split — it loads instantly in your browser.
- 2
Type the page range
Use commas and dashes like 1-3, 5, 8-10 to pick exactly what you need.
- 3
Download the new file
We build a fresh PDF with only those pages and start the download.
Why people use it
Pick ranges, not whole halves
Mix individual pages and spans in one go: 1, 4-6, 10.
Original file is untouched
We work on a copy. Your source PDF is never modified.
No size limit on the upload
Browser-side processing means big PDFs don't hit a server cap.
Real situations it fits
Pulling out a signed page
Extract just the page with your signature to send back.
Sharing one chapter
Send a teacher or reviewer the specific section they asked for.
Cleaning up scans
Drop accidental duplicate scans without rebuilding the PDF.
